What ETemplate Users, and Other Experts in the Industry Say About Us

Erik Fetzer, Fetzer Architectural Woodwork, Salt Lake City, UT

I purchased ETemplate for a major remodel of the Julliard School's chamber orchestra hall at the Lincoln Center in New York City.  It cut our field measuring time by 75%.  Every component was a perfect fit.

Ethan Adams, Adams Bros. Cabinetry, Inc., Punta Gorda, FL

We purchased the ETemplate digital measuring system so that employees wouldn’t have to go into the field and manually template a soffit, for example, using cardboard or plywood.  The company does all its engineering work in AutoCAD and exports that to Wood WOP which directs the CNC cutting.

When we would go out and template something the old-fashioned way…we had difficulty transporting that information back into the computer to write all the programs we need to cut out all the parts and pieces.

ETemplate allows the company to send one employee to a job site.  He places markers, which represent points in space, all around whatever he wants to capture, then takes photographs.

We process the pictures and we’ve got an exact replica in electronic for in AutoCAD.  We can start to generate all of our drawings and make all of our CNC programs off of that.  We know the information is true, it’s accurate, and it’s whatever is actually out in the field.  It’s a great time-saver for us.(FDM Magazine feature story, November, 2008)

John Banta, Montana Tile & Stone Fabricators, Bozeman, MT
Just wanted to pass on a great story on our first fully digital job. Inevitably in such a large state, our first job was at a ranch 3 hours from our shop. The on site ETemplate photos went great, as did the remaining process in the shop. Naturally, on the install day I was a bit nervous - and by late morning couldn't take the suspense any longer, despite the old adage that no news is good news. I phoned my lead installer, Ryan, and hesitantly asked, "so does it fit like a glove?". In turn he hesitated, and then replied "better than a glove, we're really impressed!" Needless to say I was both relieved and elated! Rod did a great job teaching, and your product proved itself right from the get go. Thanks again.

At North American Stone Crafters, the use of ETemplate for the last four years has really changed the face of production of natural stone countertops and other home design elements.  The use of etemplate has not only made the template process easier and less error-prone, it has also enabled us to double our production.   I highly recommend ETemplate.  Feel free to contact me anytime.
I am doing 4 or 5 jobs most days. Yesterday I did a job that has about 400 s.f. stone. I can template it in one day and then process in 1-2 hours (15-20 tops) and have it that afternoon. It has been really great for us, if they ever get a cnc we'll really be rolling.

The ETemplate System has performed well for a variety of complex work. One project of interest is a wet bar countertop where the customer wanted the same radius on the countertop as the ceiling overhead, so we shot the cabinet and the overhead radius with markers up the wall between the two to help tie the two parts of the project together. We were able to capture the radius they wanted and project it down to the countertop. This happens to be the personal home of one of our contractor clients in Dothan -- and we also used the ETemplate System for their foyer floor and radius kitchen island.

We installed our first kitchen measured with ETemplate the other day.  It was pretty simple but it did have a field seam, stovecutout, and sink.  We were able to drop it in place, glue it up, finish it and walk away.  We did not have to trim/scribe anything.  On this particular job, we probably saved 1-1 1/2 hours in fitting compared to what we normally would do.  Not to mention other benefits like not as much mess made that we would have to clean up.  I am very impressed!

Vaughan Ferguson, ErgoMeasure, Pty. Ltd., Perth, Australia

After 37 years in the business of engineering design and modeling, when we decided to embark on the business of producing templates at ErgoMeasure, the most important thing for us was to assess the products on the market that were suitable for high speed templating. The product that we would finally choose needed to have versatility, accuracy and dependability. It also needed to be user friendly, have a “Point Of Difference” that set it apart from its competitors and be backed by a rock solid guarantee.  After exhaustive research there was no question in our minds that “ETemplate” was the obvious choice.
Why?

Previously with measuring, there was always an element of trust that was needed between the person measuring and the end user of that measured information. It was also difficult to relay the information and to visualize the real item being measured, as a sketch could not provide this for complex areas measured. ETemplate developers have not only come up with a product that gives the templater the ability to accurately measure flat or complex 2D or 3D surfaces, they also provided all users along the way the ability to visualize the real measured area with their ground breaking “Back plotting” invention. This functionality being their “Point Of Difference” combined with all the other qualities mentioned above as well as safeguarding its templaters in the event of disputes, sets ETemplate apart from their competitors and makes them, in our opinion, the best digital templating product on the market.

Our company, ErgoMeasure, has now completed over 200 templates that included complex bench tops, curved landings and steps, open area measurement both in 2D & 3D and “ETemplate” provided us 100% success with every template when it comes to accuracy. The developers of ETemplate have obviously conducted exhaustive research to remove any inaccuracies via a comprehensive checking and auditing system. The system is so versatile that it gives the user the ability to become totally creative during the measuring process.

Another important feature worth mentioning is the ability to measure off the processed photographs. If you have missed an area that did need measuring, the area can be marked on the photograph, reprocessed and measured with amazing accuracy. As a result of this feature we have not had a single site revisit with all the templates that we have completed. In business “Time is Money” and this ETemplate feature certainly supports the statement.

The ETemplate software has been cleverly crafted and gives its users the choice of using this advanced measuring technology with their own highly developed “Process Center” or combines it with other CAD

(Computer Aided Design) packages on the market to produce a DXF (Data Exchange File) for use with modern CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) machines. Either way the final result is the same. Amazingly accurate and easy to use!! If you need to develop a physical template, don’t stress, as this can also be achieved by processing this information to a vinyl template cutting machine.

Speed is another consideration in this competitive world we live in when it comes to choosing a commercially viable product. Using ETemplate we have been able to create a viable business that delivers accuracy combined with speed at a very competitive cost for both small and large manufacturers.

Our conclusion is that we feel most electronic templating products on the market are either slow or cumbersome or both in comparison to ETemplate which offers great versatility at a very affordable price. Having the ability to view the finished template over real photographs is a feature that has been long overdue and the ETemplate software provides this via new age digital technology. Customers can now confirm their design before manufacture.

The friendly staff at Tri-Tech-Solutions, Inc., developers of the ETemplate product, are always available to answer any queries that arise, and their expert team always has the solutions to any problems that may arise.  Need I say more!

ETemplate Photo is the easiest to use digital templating system on the market.  I have experienced them all.  ETemplate is so easy, it should be called Templating for Dummies.“

David Kegel, Milwaukee Marble & Granite Co.,

“ETemplate is the best advancement in our drafting department since we introduced AutoCAD in the mid 90's. We were amazed to find that something so easy to use could be so accurate. The benefits are felt thoughout our business from draftsmen to the setters. The wonderful people at ETemplate provided excellent training and phenomenal customer service. We just ordered our second system, and we couldn't be happier.“

There is no comparison to the amount of field time it saves me, and it's a lot more accurate then gluing sticks together....  It takes an average of one hour from photos to the template.... The support from ETemplate Systems was, and still is, out of this world.  If yo call them on the phone, they are right there for you.“

“I can’t believe how great ETemplate is working.  It is dead-on accurate.”

Marty Marra, President,Capitol Granite, Inc.,Pittsburg, PA
“I would not be in this business without ETemplate. They provided the answer for us.”

An e-mail written by Marty to a prospective buyer of ETemplate:
We are sitting here templating another kitchen.  The ETemplate system is EXCELLENT!  When I said I wouldn't be in this business without ETemplate I meant it.  I was extremely skeptical that a "photo" could provide the accuracy needed.  But the accuracy of ETemplate along with the accuracy of CNC are a perfect match.  We end up with puzzle pieces that fit together abolutely perfectly.  We have become completely reliant on the data we get and after 60 plus kitchens with ETemplate we have not had a bad fit or error yet.  We will always "test" the system by taking several overall measurements with a tape and comparing the taped measurement to the photo measurement and to this day the largest variance we have had was 1/8"!!  We usually get 1/8 or 1/16 or zero for the difference, and we tend to think that WE are the ones who have not measured perfectly, not ETemplate.  Plus the advantage of having documented photos is priceless.  We had a Lowe's installer try to tell us he didn't move the sink base and the photos proved him wrong.  I probably would have had to remake that top without the photos to prove it.  Tech support is also fantastic, but I never call them anymore because I have no problems with it.  The last time I had a problem we determined that we had accidentally bumped our zoom button and the photos were out of scale.  But they were able to adjust the photos that I emailed them and I did not have to go back adn re-shoot it.  And the top fit perfect, just like all the rest.
If you have any more questions, please contact me again.  I would be more than glad to help you with your decision.

“……even though the Version One is extremely accurate, the Version Two with Intelli‑Mark™ is much faster and easier to use. We are able to take photos of anything, anywhere, allowing us to customize countertops more specifically to customers' desired needs, and to handle much more elaborate jobs. Since the ETemplate Systems unit can handle complex curves and angles, Rock Tops is able to measure projects, including countertops, bathtub surrounds, vanities and wall cladding.  I have yet to have an accuracy issue within the confines of the granite business.”

Wayne Krumenacker, President, California Countertop, Inc., La Mesa, CA

“Unlike some tools we buy, this system was put into use right-away and we have been using it ever since.  The thing that amazes me to this day is how accurate the results are.  We test it against tape measurements and it is always right there.  I now trust it more than my template man.  On jobs with angles, radius, or weird shapes, it really comes in handy.  The fact I can go from photos to CAD files is tremendous.  The only real issue there has ever been was the amount of time it took to mark and reference the dots in the photos.  This has been solved by the latest software version that automatically highlights the dot and does the auto cross reference.”

Bill Craig, Thomas & Miliken Millwork, Inc., Northport, MI

“Our shop has been using the ETemplate Templating System for about four months, primarily to template for curved millwork- case, base, crown, handrail and nosing.  In combination with our CNC router, the ETemplate Templating System has proven itself to be simple to use, accurate and reliable. We have already seen a marked decrease in our error rate and a noticeable increase in the speed with which we can produce curved work. We would recommend the ETemplate Templating System to any millwork shop involved in fabricating curved work.”
