The ETemplate Photo Process - Step by Step

Clearly Identify the Job

Upon arrival at the jobsite

  • Take a photo of the building.  Include the house number in the photo if visible.
  • When inside, take a photo of the job specification sheet ensuring that it clearly shows the customer name, address, etc.

Setup Intelli‑Marks

Edge Markers

Stick-on Markers

Intelli-Gauge

Place edge markers on cabinets & stick-on markers on walls.

  • Use two Intelli-Marks for any straight line.
  • Place Intelli-Mark edge markers on cabinet edges.
  • Place Intelli-Mark stick-on markers along walls.
  • Free form curves require multiple markers.  Wall markers can be continuous or randomly placed if you want scribe.
  • Wall markers are round and 2” from center to edge for off-set measuring.  No squaring to edges necessary.
  • Each wall mark also has four tick marks for exact edge alignment.
  • Multiple templates can be derived from one set of photos (i.e. – sink base, bar top, backsplash).
  • Intelli-Mark provides data beyond measurements that allows transfer of other information such as sink or cook-top center line, corner radii, overhang, text labeling, etc.

Measuring over existing countertops?

  • For measuring over existing countertops, use the Intelli‑Gauge that is included at no additional charge with ETemplate Photo.
  • Designed for use with all types of existing countertops for easy, accurate measurement of cabinet base.  European style cabinets are not a problem.

Place Intelli-Scales

Place scales to appear in photographs.

  • Intelli-Scales may be placed anywhere in the project.
  • No leveling or squaring required.
  • One scale every 8 to 10 linear feet is recommended.

Photographing the Job

Rule-of-thumb for taking photos.

  • Each Intelli-Mark™ must appear in at least two photos from at least two angles.
  • Photos are not required to be taken in a specific sequence.
  • Each photo should contain at least 15 Intelli-marks with a minimum of six marks overlapping between photos.
  • Average job requires 8 to12 photos for processing. Number varies based on size and complexity of the job.
  • Additional photos for informational purposes and two overall photos from different angles are recommended.
  • Finish by of writing our any special instructions on a whiteboard or pad and photographing it.
